Intermediate Electrical Engineer (Minimum 2 years Exp)

Salary: £35,000 to £45K,000+ (subject to experience)

Primary Location: London

Seeking a varied role in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team?

We are looking for a talented Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join the team. With a minimum of 2 years of building services experience, you’ll be working across different sectors, predominantly commercial and residential.

About you:

You want to work independently on tasks and as a part of a friendly, fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team and: 

  • have BEng/equal or demonstrable practical experience
  • are working towards membership with a relevant industry body, such as CIBSE or IET
  • have the ability to work independently and to deadlines, sometimes under pressure
  • are diligent and methodical
  • and are able to communicate effectively across all functions of the firm, with great negotiation and influencing skills

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be working with Senior Engineers to:

  • interpret the client's requirements, statutory obligations and design the building services wherever appropriate
  • design all appropriate services from concept to completion
  • provide support to other members of the team in the design of projects
  • ensure designs comply with the relevant regulations, company procedures and company standards
  • prepare detailed specifications and schedules when required
  • facilitate drawing production with the project team
  • ensure that design work is checked and feedback is incorporated into the design
  • ensure that the information that is issued is accurate and well defined 

Technical Knowledge and Skills

You'll have:

  • a BEng/equal or demonstrable practical experience
  • an understanding of
    • BSRIA BG6 and RIBA stages
    • Part L
    • the CDM Regulations
    • BREEAM and renewable technologies
    • CIBSE lighting codes
    • IET regulations
  • a reasonable understanding of other MEP engineering disciplines, other than your own, sufficient to understand their impact in the overall design, and converse at a reasonable level
  • a flair for working on smaller and quick turnaround projects and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • proficiency and experience in the use of:
    • Word
    • PowerPoint
    • Excel
    • DIALux/Relux
    • Outlook
    • AutoCAD
    • Revit (all engineers are currently training on Revit)
    • Trimble
