An office development for Terrace Hill with approximately 70,000 ft² of office space arranged over seven floors.
Mecserve was appointed to provide a detailed review of the ADL2 (Approved Document ADL 2002) requirements during the pre-planning stage and prior to submission to ensure compliance before formal design commenced. The work included underground car parking facilities with fully air-conditioned offices. The HVAC services were controlled by the central BEMS.
Mecserve was also appointed to provide an (enhanced) performance specification for the building services to enable competitive design-and-build tenders to be sought. The design of the services included four-pipe fan-coils, main plant at basement and roof level, pulsed ventilation to the basement car park and full firefighting facilities to the twin firefighting cores. Lighting was by fully recessed modular luminaires with low brightness louvres complying with CIBSE LG3.
Mecserve was retained by Terrace Hill during construction as quality control advisor on the services. The project brief also included overview and comments on the design production (by the main contractor), review of the commissioning and acceptance of the services at PC (handover), on behalf of Terrace Hill.
