A new office development within the City of London was constructed for world -enowned law firm, Jones Day.
The building comprised offices from lower ground to fifth floor inclusive with approximately 97,500 ft² of nett office area, air-conditioned throughout. Mecserve was appointed by the client to provide a monitoring role during the construction of the shell-and-core works. The scope of work included detailed design review of the base build scheme, review adequacy of future maintenance and approval of sub-contractor's information (i.e. working and builders' work drawings, manufacturers' specifications, etc.). Additionally, work incorporated supervising inspections, witness testing, commissioning the base build services and monitoring work on-site for compliance with the developer's specification.
The building was subsequently fitted-out by Jones Day to an extremely high-quality specification, including toilet cores, raised floors, carpets, false ceilings, partitions, furnishings and kitchen.
Mecserve produced fully coordinated design layouts for the services fit-out contract. The fit-out also included a striking glass pavilion in the central courtyard where informal meetings and social events are held.
